| No more crappy cell phone camera pictures if Kodak has its way
Today the company rolled out new chips that promise to make even the smallest cameras take better, more detailed photos. Kodak says its KAC-05020 Image Sensor is a 1.4 micron, 5-megapixel device that allows capture of high quality images in small cameras, with resolution that equals what is available from current devices using larger, 1.75 micron pixel CMOS designs. Kodak said unlike other small-pixel sensors which can produce poor images, especially under low light conditions, the 1.4 micron pixel used in the KAC-05020 Image Sensor changes this convention, providing image quality that can equal or surpass what is available from current 1.75 micron-based devices.Light sensitivity in the new sensor is enhanced by using the company's Truesense Color Filter Pattern technology, which adds panchromatic, or "clear," pixels to the red, green and blue pixels already on the sensor.
Police Commissioner rejects call to resign
We're not going to be in the business of imposing some sort of media blackout on the reporting of terrorism cases." Mr Rudd expressed full confidence in Mr Keelty: "The Government has its own view and the Government's view is that the media should abide by the laws of the land and I err ... on the side of the media giving full and frank coverage." O'Gorman calls for Keelty's head Australian Council for Civil Liberties president Terry O'Gorman said last night Mr Keelty was unfit to remain as commissioner and should quit. "He should find another job. If he doesn't, the Government should find another job for him," Mr O'Gorman said. "His speech shows he just doesn't get it - the man isn't in the real world because he's lost any sense of balance." Asked last night if he would consider resigning, Mr Keelty said through a spokesman he would not dignify such a question with a response.
Lanny Davis: MSNBC In Tank For Obama
The media has gotten the nation to care about kids like Britany Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton, who has become famous for being famous. The media has driven the Obama phenomenon. He too is famous, because he's famous. He's just as much an empty suit as Paris is an empty skirt. The only thing the man has going for him is he is a good speaker. It will be hard to beat this man if he wins the nomination. The media will describe every "attack" by the Republican opponent as a lynching by the Klan. Look what Slick Willy caused by saying his stance on the war was a fairy tail. One of the few times Clinton spoke the truth, and it is just his luck he spoke it against an untouchable! Ann Coulter has written in several of her books how liberals throw up human shields when they want to advance an agenda.

Boys and Girls Club of Greater Boston surpasses fundraising goal
The Boys and Girls Club of Boston raised $101.5 million, the board announced Thursday at the nonprofit's annual dinner. The amount exceeds the group's capital campaign goal of $100 million to be raised by June 30, 2008 The campaign will still continue until June 30, officials said. The dinner itself raised more than $1 million toward the Boys and Girl's Club of Greater Boston, which serves 14,000 inner city children and teens through its nearly 10 locations. Children who attend the clubs -- from teens to a college student from Dorchester -- gave personal testaments to how the clubs have impacted their lives. In addition, nearly $4 million has been raised toward The Whitlock Fund for Inspirational Leadership and Excellence. The fund, established by some of the lead donors, is named after Linda Whitlock, the current CEO and president, who, after 10 years of service, is leaving her post this summer.
