| ViewSonic Expands Display Heritage With New Line of High Resolution ...
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- According to Parks Associates research, more than two-thirds of the digital photos taken are never printed or displayed, keeping memories bottled up on memory cards and computer hard drives. ViewSonic(R) Corp. sets photos free from the hard drive and brings them to the coffee table with the introduction of an easy-to-use digital picture frame line. The company's first picture frames - the widescreen 7-inch DP701W4WH, widescreen 8-inch DF88W-523 and traditional 8-inch DF87G533 - are affordable, stylish and versatile, providing a high-quality display for consumers to show off digital photos that may have never seen the light of day. "From wedding days and a baby's 'first' to family vacations and birthdays, displaying personal moments through high-quality displays is a natural next step for ViewSonic," said Jeff Volpe, vice president of marketing, ViewSonic Americas.
Chris Rock
In a set full of topical material, Rock began with the Democrat presidential primaries and found rich pickings. The face-off between black man and white woman, says Rock, is like a suffering contest. Which oppressed group most deserves a crack at the presidency? This black man won't concede first prize to anyone ("Seabiscuit had a better life than my granddaddy"). But he manages to tread the line between shameless provocation (he suggests that "Barack needs a white woman", because no black woman could be submissive enough to be first lady) and neat new perspective. To what extent is a former presidential wife's claim on "experience" justified, given that "I've been married 10 years, and if my wife came onstage now, y'all would not laugh"? The politics material devolved into good, but predictable George Bush jokes and an unfortunate gag that seemed to consider US casualties as the worst thing about the Iraq war.
How could well-educated Bangkokians be deceived but poor lowly ...
I sure like to see Aphishit's promises of 12 year-free-education, free medical treatment for all, minimize traffic congestion in Bangkok, fight the corruption and drug, minimize or stop the ongoing violences in the south! Tell me about it fools! .
Mustangs win as Rasheed scores 25
DANVILLE Niveen Rasheed seemed as if she was everywhere Friday in leading the Monte Vista High girls basketball team to a hard-fought, 49-42 victory over Newark Memorial in the second round of the North Coast Section Division I playoffs. Rasheed was in the middle of the action all night for the Mustangs (25-2), who struggled to get into an offensive rhythm against the 2-3 zone the Cougars (18-11) used throughout the game. She scored a game-high 25 points, and was the defensive catalyst as well. "It was one of those nights where the ball wasn't dropping for us," Rasheed said. "They played us tough in their zone, and we were a little ragged offensively. I wanted to provide some energy on defense to try to get us going." Newark let the Mustangs know that they were going to be in for a battle early.
Hip-Hop Rumors: Gary Coleman Paid? Foxy Free? Budden Calls Jay-Z ...
Foxy is using whatever means she can to get out of Rikers Island. The latest is she recently met with the presiding judge and there is a glimmer of hope. The only doctor that has been able to help Foxy and her ear situation is located in California. As expected the DA was hating, saying that there should be no sentence reduction even of Fox was dying. The judge will rule later in the month. BROOKE HOGAN LEAVES SCOTT STORCH? I don't know what kind of contract Brooke Hogan had with Scott Storch. I would assume the Hulkster can get her out off any contract –even Scott Storch. Well, Brooke has a myspace page that has her record label status as, “Trying to find a good one!" She signed to Scott Storch's Storchavelli Records in 2006 and hasn't done a lot musically.
To Hell With the Chief!
It's true that Midwesterners have a great deal of just plain common sense and Madhoosier is very eloquent as well. Obama fills the bill for me and, as a great-grandmother offers hope and confidence that the next generations will restore the American Dream. Thanks all! .
What the heck is the difference among all those Canon ELPHs anyway?
As I mentioned in my last post, I'm a big fan of Canon's Digital ELPH series, but I can't tell you how many times friends have called me from Best Buy in a state of confusion about which one to buy. It's no wonder. Stop into any electronics store today and you'll find a slew of ELPH models and they all look pretty similar to the untrained eye. So here's a quick primer on what's what, broken down by resolution (since for better or for worse, that's how most people seem to shop for cameras). For comparison's sake, I included current pricing from Amazon.com. 12.1 Megapixels Canon PowerShot SD950 IS ($340) - released August 2007: This is Canon's current top-of-the-line model (successor to last year's SD900 which you'll still find in some stores). It sports a sleek, rugged titanium body, 3.7x optical zoom lens (36- to 133mm), an Optical Image Stabilizer, Canon's latest face-detection autofocus technology, in-camera red-eye correction, and like all the current ELPHs, uses Canon's top-end DIGIC III image processor.
