Next Tuesday, the latest release is Justice League: The New Frontier, an animated version of Canadian Darwyn Cooke's universally hailed graphic novel, which is essentially his retro take on the formation of the world's greatest super team. With our super archival powers, we look at the various onscreen incarnations of the Justice League: Super Friends Running in various configurations from 1973 until 1986 on Saturday mornings (and still seen in reruns on Teletoon Retro), this is the super cheesy version, which at certain portions featured the Wonder Twins and Gleek, their caped blue monkey. Following on the Superman, Batman and Aquaman Filmation series, this was the first adaptation that brought the comic heroes together on the small screen. There were several iterations of this production, including TV-only characters that attempted to capture diversity, such as Black Lightning, Apache Chief and Samurai.
Digital death: Farewell to an icon
First you hear that familiar click of the camera capturing a moment in time. Then comes the whirr of the picture processing inside. Suddenly, your print is expelled from the camera. It appears black at first, but it slowly comes into focus with a few quick shakes — the way OutKast’s André 3000 immortalized it in song. (Ok, so technically shaking it doesn’t make the picture develop any faster, but it is all part of the fun.) Those of us who have used Polaroid instant cameras are familiar with this dance. Even if it’s been a while, we bet you still remember the acrid smell of the print and the anticipation of seeing your picture in real time. Now it’s time to say goodbye to that old ritual. Polaroid recently announced plans to stop producing the instant film that made the company an American icon.

You remember back in the day, I heard that The Game and his brother Big Fase 100 are back on good terms again. I hope it to be true. Brothers don't need to fight – they are all they got! Anyway, I didn't confirm/deny the rumor, but I heard something that supports it. I heard that The Game and his brother are working out a new mixtape venture that bigs up the West Coast. So, I know Game is in jail right now, but maybe the vocals were dropped before and then Fase will get it mixed and mastered?
